The Burger Blog

I'd say that's worth like, a 9/16.

Hello all! This website shall be dedicated to the review of Hamburgers in the central Ohio area! To start, we have broken down the whole affair into a 16 point (With a potential 21 for an exceptional burger) system. The breakdown of points is as follows:

Meat - 8 points: The rationale behind this is fairly intuitive. For most people, it's the meat that will make or break a burger. Juiciness, flavor and texture will be key in scoring a perfect 8 for 8.

Toppings - 5 points: This is also fairly simple. Toppings are important. You've gotta eat your burger with toppings or else you're not really eating a ham/cheeseburger, just a ground beef sandwich. Lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mustard, bacon and your typical toppings factor into this score.

Bun - 3 points: A bun is the crucial bookend of the composing elements of a burger. A bad bun can make a burger experience awful as it's the bun's job to let the ingredients get to know each other.

At this point, a burger may score a perfect 16 out of 16 - an exceptional score by all means! Still, for an above and beyond burger, there exists the game-changing "Tilt points."

Tilt - 5 points: A burger alone can be a vulnerable and naked creature. It requires accessory elements, such as french fries or a milkshake. That said, as these are compliments (A truly great burger may stand alone) these things are factored in as tilt points. Great fries, a special sauce (not included in toppings) or something simply badass enough to be mentioned will be factored in the tilt score. Thus, a perfect burger may attain a score of 21/16, indicative of a burger worthy of the gods!

This is the system that we have established thus far. Any helpful comments/suggestions will be taken into consideration in order that we may better evaluate this staple of the American middle class.
